A note from Judy Breck: In the 1980s, my parents, Louis and Julia Breck, entrusted to me two diaries written by my great-grandfather Milo Roblee. He is the father of Louis W. Breck’s mother, Olive Jane Roblee Breck. He is shown in the image with this post holding one of his three grandsons who were born before his accidental death in 1904. My guess is that the boy is the oldest of the three, Milo Hewitt Roblee, oldest son of William “Will” Wallace Roblee and Beulah Hewlitt Roblee.
The diaries have now been transcribed in large portion by Phyllis Harrison, a Roblee cousin who knows a great deal about the Roblee heritage. Her translation, along with some images from the Breck collection of family photos are now displayed on the BreckNorth Family website: here. As you will see from reading the text, the picture of Milo and his grandson was probably taken during the 1901-04 period when he was writing the second diary.
